My Skincare Routine

Just a quick video explaining what I use on my skin and a review of Retin A and Latisse. Why am I always making such goofy faces? Ha Ha! I hope you enjoy :)

Nail Inspiration

When I worked in a spa I used to get manicures all of the time. My nails always looked so cute. Now, I don't have the luxury of being surrounded by talented nail artists every day. THANK YOU PINTEREST! Here are a collection of some of my favorite looks for nails, and how you can get them without forking over the bucks to have it done in a salon.

These are pretty straight forward, and totally amaze balls for the holidays! Simply paint your nail with your color of choice and then layer glitter over top. You can either coat just the bed of your nail or the whole thing. Personally, I like the top picture where only the bed of the nail is filled with glittery goodness. Hey, sometimes a girl needs to sparkle, right?

Genius! Want to make symmetrical polka dots on your nails? Just use a pin stuck into an eraser. I swear, these Pinterest girls are always thinking.
Ah, animal print. Ok, so I wouldn't wear this to work or anything but it would be adorable for a night on the town with a monochromatic outfit. Think you can't get the look without a professional's help? Think again girlfriend! Meet, the design stamp.
This little baby is so cool and it really works. And for right around $7.00 on Ebay (click here for a link) it's totally affordable. Happy designing!

Happy Halloween!

Fun side note...it's my parent's anniversary today. Happy Anniversary Mommy and Daddy! (Don't worry, they didn't have a vampire themed wedding or anything.) Lets get to the goods, shall we?

Poison Ivy Costume

My boyfriend loves comic book characters, and wanted to go as bane from the new Batman movie. So, I decided to go as poison Ivy. In searching the web for a costume, I quickly realized I would have to make this year's number myself. So, I ran out to Ross and bought a cheapy, simple black dress for $9.00. I then bought a string of plastic ivy leaves from Michaels, grabbed my hot glue gun, and went to town.

I layered the leaves on one by one, making sure to leave part of the leaf unglued so that it didn't look too plastered down. I also glued some upside down so that the pattern wasn't the same for each one.

Voila! It really was that simple. Don't get me wrong, it took a looooooong time...but it was totally worth it.

I purchased the red wig on Ebay for about $15.00, and that was including shipping. SCORE!

I hope you all have as much fun this Halloween as I did. Be safe!

Hey, I heard you were a wild one...

I had such a busy weekend. It was one of those weekends that actually seemed like the weekend, you know? Some weekends pass and I think to myself, "How the heck did that go by so fast?" Not this weekend! I enjoyed every last bit of it.

This event was so fun! One of my best girlfriends is an event planner for the City of West Palm Beach. She always has the "in" on fun happenings around town. She and I had such a good time and the food was really yummy. For the most part, I just took either a small bite or a sip of what everyone offered. My Weight Watchers Sistas be proud!

Friday I attended an breast cancer awareness event at Good Samaratin Hospital. The event was beautifully done with the help of Saks Fifth Avenue.

On Saturday I had a pumpkin carving party with my besties. We always make the yummiest munchies when we get together. We had guacamole, caprese skewers, brie, blue cheese, grapes, an assortment of hummus, and lots-o-drinks! haha

I'm about to start making my Halloween costume. That's right...I'm going to make it! I will be sure to post a tutorial. In the spirit of Halloween,  I'll leave you with this awesome video!

Fabulous Sales and Polka Dot Nails!

You're totally going to be proud of me when you hear how Martha Stewart I got for this one! I used Essie in Marshmallow as the base color, OPI Lincoln Park After Dark for the polka dots, and Sally Hansen Insta-Dri for the topcoat. Let me just say here that if you aren't using Sally Hansen as your top coat now you are MISSING OUT. It's amazeballs.

So, ready for the creative part? Are you wondering what that little white thing is that I'm using to apply the polka dots? It's a broken-off prong to a plastic fork. Bask in my creative glory! Cheap and effective. I could almost cry.

A few tips: Apply the base color and topcoat and let them completely dry. Then apply the dots and make sure to let them COMPLETELY DRY. (I got hasty and ended up with a smudgy color.) Voila! Fun, fashionable nails that are cheap, easy and fabby!
